We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 7 days of your first subscription payment. We want you to be completely satisfied with ChatBD!

1. Eligibility for Refunds

1.1 Full Refund (7 Days)

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You request a refund within 7 days of your initial subscription payment
  • This is your first subscription with ChatBD
  • You have not violated our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
  • No fraudulent activity is detected on your account

1.2 Pro-rated Refund (Within 30 Days)

Within 30 days of payment, you may request a pro-rated refund based on the unused portion of your subscription, subject to our discretion. Pro-rated refunds consider:

  • Number of days remaining in your billing cycle
  • Amount of service used (messages sent, features used)
  • Reason for refund request

1.3 Not Eligible for Refund

Refunds will NOT be granted in the following cases:

  • More than 30 days have passed since payment
  • You have used more than 80% of your monthly message quota
  • Your account was suspended or banned for violating our policies
  • You are requesting a refund for a previous billing period
  • You failed to cancel before an automatic renewal
  • You experienced technical difficulties that we attempted to resolve but you refused assistance

2. Refund Process

2.1 How to Request a Refund

  1. Log in to your ChatBD account
  2. Go to Settings → Billing → Request Refund
  3. Fill out the refund request form (reason for refund)
  4. Submit your request

2.2 Processing Time

  • Review: We will review your refund request within 2 business days
  • Approval: If approved, refund will be processed within 5-7 business days
  • Arrival: Refunds appear in your account within 5-10 business days depending on your bank

2.3 Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the subscription:

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refunded to the same card
  • bKash/Nagad: Refunded to the same mobile wallet
  • Bank Transfer: Refunded to the same bank account

3. Subscription Cancellation

3.1 Cancel Anytime

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There is no cancellation fee.

3.2 What Happens After Cancellation

  • You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
  • Your data will be retained for 30 days in case you want to reactivate
  • After 30 days, your account will be downgraded to the Free tier

3.3 No Refund for Unused Time

If you cancel your subscription, you will not receive a refund for the remaining days in your current billing period (unless within the 7-day or 30-day refund windows above).

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Technical Issues

If you experience technical problems that prevent you from using the Service:

  1. Contact our support team immediately: support@chatbd.com
  2. We will work to resolve the issue within 24 hours
  3. If we cannot resolve it within 72 hours, we will offer a pro-rated refund or account credit

4.2 Service Downtime

If our Service experiences significant downtime (more than 24 hours in a month):

  • You will automatically receive an account credit for the affected period
  • Or you may request a pro-rated refund

4.3 Billing Errors

If you were charged incorrectly or multiple times:

  • Contact us immediately with proof of the error
  • We will investigate within 24 hours
  • If confirmed, we will issue a full refund of the erroneous charge

5. Annual Subscriptions

5.1 Annual Refund Policy

  • Within 7 days: Full refund (100%)
  • Within 30 days: Pro-rated refund based on unused months
  • After 30 days: No refund, but you can continue to use the service until the annual term ends

5.2 Upgrade/Downgrade

  • Upgrade: Charges are pro-rated, no refund needed
  • Downgrade: New rate applies at next billing cycle, no refund for current period

6. Fair Refund Abuse Prevention

To ensure fairness for all users, we reserve the right to deny refunds if we detect:

  • Repeated subscription/refund patterns (subscription hopping)
  • High usage followed by immediate refund request
  • Fraudulent refund claims
  • Abuse of the refund policy

Accounts found abusing the refund policy may be permanently banned from using ChatBD.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

7.1 Contact Us First

Please contact us before filing a chargeback or payment dispute. We are committed to resolving any billing issues quickly and fairly.

7.2 Chargeback Consequences

If you file a chargeback without contacting us first:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended
  • You will be charged a chargeback processing fee (BDT 1,000)
  • You may be permanently banned from using ChatBD
  • We will provide evidence of service delivery to your payment provider

8. Account Credits

Instead of a cash refund, we may offer account credits in certain situations:

  • Credits can be used toward future subscription payments
  • Credits do not expire as long as your account is active
  • Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value

9. Exceptions and Discretion

While we strive to be fair and consistent, we reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.
